Part of your…..Worlddddddd {May 19, 2014}

Dear Sebastian and Flounder,

This week, I don’t have too many things to talk about, but I do have A LOT of photos. So get excited. Because they are awesome. They won’t be in order because I don’t work that way, so you can just deal with it. Punks.
I’m going to start with a drawing by my companion…

As you can tell, we had a pretty fun week. We also got to go to the temple with ALL the sisters in our mission, but even better than that, we got to go to the temple with our recent-convert as she did baptisms. We got to hold her towel for her. I felt like a real adult.
We had stake conference this weekend. But it wasn’t like normal stake conference. It was a fancy broadcast one. From BYU-I. It was great. But the night before we had what used to be the adult session of stake conference, but it was for anyone 12 and over and it was on my favorite subject: Hastening the Work of Salvation in His Time. I was so wanting to be in a southern baptist church during that meeting. I had so many feelings of AMMMENNNN and all that jazz. But this week my thought will be from the scripture that I loved the most that night. It comes from the book of Isaiah chapter 60 verse 22 and it says…
“A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the Lord will hasten it in his time.”
It’s a fairly short verse, but it says a lot to me. I am small. In fact, I am nothing. But one small act I do can do SO MUCH. I think I said this last week, but my 14 year old recent convert (the one that we went to the temple with) said she wants to go on a mission so she can do for other families what we missionaries did for hers. I am only one girl, but because I came on a mission, another young sister wants to do the same. Her future family will be members. And their influence will change others. My one choice to come on a mission will reach to thousands. That is just incredible to me. I will give another scripture that I thought of while thinking of my nothingness. It is in Alma chapter 26 verses 12-16…
“12 Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever.
 13 Behold, how many thousands of our brethren has he loosed from the pains of hell; and they are brought to sing redeeming love, and this because of the power of his word which is in us, therefore have we not great reason to rejoice?
 14 Yea, we have reason to praise him forever, for he is the Most High God, and has loosed our brethren from the chains of hell.
 15 Yea, they were encircled about with everlasting darkness and destruction; but behold, he has brought them into his everlasting light, yea, into everlasting salvation; and they are encircled about with the matchless bounty of his love; yea, and we have been instruments in his hands of doing this great and marvelous work.
 16 Therefore, let us glory, yea, we will glory in the Lord; yea, we will rejoice, for our joy is full; yea, we will praise our God forever. Behold, who can glory too much in the Lord? Yea, who can say too much of his great power, and of his mercy, and of his long-suffering towards the children of men? Behold, I say unto you, I cannot say the smallest part which I feel.
I have always loved these verses…Alma is amazing. I know that our Heavenly Father watches over us and because of Him, we can do ANYTHING. Nothing is impossible when you have the Lord on your side.
I hope you all have a great week. I love you and invite you to bring someone closer to Christ (that means bringing yourself to Christ as well). Take care!!
